Dr. Scheuermann was born in Franklinton, Louisiana. His family moved to Baton Rouge when he was 4 years old. He lived in Louisiana’s capital city until he graduated from Baton Rouge High in 1969. He then began his studies at Southeastern University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. Following graduation from SLU, he moved to Davenport, Iowa and attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated with his doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Scheuermann has been in private practice for over 30 years – more than 20 of those years have been in the fair city of Slidell, Louisiana.
Dr. Scheuermann is married to the beautiful Joani Jacob-Scheuermann and they have one son – Benjamin, and one dog – Tinsel. Dr. Scheuermann is active in his church, Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Slidell. He plays guitar and bass in the church’s contemporary praise band (Crosswalk). Dr. Scheuermann strives constantly to stay on the cutting edge of chiropractic care. He attends many seminars and classes regularly to find the best and most effective way to treat his patients. His most recent passion is treating people with disc problems.
